Dear Friends—I’ve just arrived home from the World Congress of Families XII in Moldova, and I couldn’t wait to write and tell you what a wonderful success it was! We were honored by the participation of Moldovan President Igor Dodon and First Lady Galina Dodon throughout the weekend’s events, as well as of prominent religious leaders such as Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Vatican Secretary of State, and Elder Christoffel Golden of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Apart from these dignitaries, we also welcomed other key representatives of faith and civic organizations from around the world to exchange ideas and expertise on the defense of our shared values and the promotion of the natural family.
President Dodon was an extremely gracious host, and the weekend laid the groundwork not only for productive work in the future between IOF and the Moldovan people, but also with other countries represented at the Congress. I look forward to working with President Dodon and others to advance the protection and defense of life, family, marriage, and religious liberty in coming months and years!
On the last day of the Congress, we received word from the Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and other key Italian officials that the World Congress of Families has been invited to meet next March in Verona, Italy! This is a wonderful opportunity for which we’re extremely grateful – but it means that we have only a few short months to begin preparing.

We are becoming the go-to organization worldwide for advice on policy and organization when it comes to promoting stronger and healthier family life, protecting life from conception to natural death, defending the truth of marriage and sex, and safeguarding against attacks on religious liberty. We want to build on this legacy in Verona, and raise the bar even more: but we do need your help to ensure success.
